Brambly Hedge at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026
This spring, the world of Brambly Hedge steps beyond the page and into one of Britain’s most celebrated gardens.
‘A visit to Brambly Hedge’, designed by floral designer Millie Richardson and brought to life with the flowers of Stokesay Flowers, adorns the Bull Ring Gate at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026. The installation pays homage to Jill Barklem’s remarkable talent as both a storyteller and an artist, recreating beloved scenes from her Spring and Summer stories through an abundance of fresh, seasonal, British-grown flowers and foliage, each one grown in England in a traditional walled garden. We believe this to be a Chelsea first.
Violets, cowslips and forget-me-nots emerge from the hedgerow, evoking the warm days when the mice step out to welcome spring. As summer unfolds, honeysuckle and wild roses, including rambler Rosa ‘François Juranville’ and English garden rose ‘Emily Brontë’, fill the air with sweetness, and thoughts turn to a very special occasion: Poppy and Dusty’s wedding.
