New 2025 Brambly Hedge Trail at Abbotsbury Swannery
Explore Brambly Hedge Trails around the UK.
We have once again teamed up with Abbotsbury Swannery to create a new 2025 trail for children and families.
The trail is based on Summer Story one of the eight classic books in the Brambly Hedge collection. It takes visitors around the Swannery grounds, to discover more about the swans and the adventurous mice.
Many visitors enjoyed the 2024 collaboration which brought to life Sea Story, one of the other titles in the series. This time, it follows the tale of Dusty Dogwood and Poppy Eyebright in the lead up to their wedding day.
Designed for families to enjoy, the trail includes stamp points, questions to answer and fun facts, all alongside the swans and discovering more about the unique Swannery.
After the trail head to the Café where there will be colouring sheets to enjoy and the Gift Shop will feature a selection of books from the collection and other Brambly Hedge gifts.
The Swannery is open daily from Saturday 15th March and closes Sunday 2nd November.
The trail will available to visitors throughout the whole of the 2025 season.
The 2025 Abbotsbury Swannery Trail is based on the much loved book: SUMMER STORY
It was such a hot summer. The sky was deep blue and the sun never faltered. All along Brambly Hedge, the mice did their best to keep cool. Poppy Eyebright sought refuge in the mossy shadows of the mill wheel; Dusty Dogwood took to walking by the banks of the cooling stream. Dusty and Poppy spent more and more time together, so no one was at all surprised when they announced their engagement. They decided on a very unusual setting for the wedding ceremony, but even they didn’t realise just how unusual it would prove to be!
