Meet seven of the characters from the classic stories out on Essex Wildlife Trusts nature reserve.
Join Essex Wildlife Trust at Abberton Reservoir and explore their Brambly hedge trail; find Wilfred with his catapult or look at Primrose’s pretty bonnet. The trail will take you around the nature reserve, through Wild Wood home to many different species of wildlife including hares, kestrels, goldfinches and orchids.
At the end of your trail enjoy time in their wild play area complete with a zip wire, spiders web and long tailed tit nest. The tearoom in the visitor centre will also be open supplying lots of locally sourced food.
The trail is wheelchair and buggy friendly and open every day
(except Christmas Day and Boxing Day)
