MR TOADFLAX & MRS TOADFLAX

Alf and Betony Toadflax have four children, Clover, Catkin, Teasel and Wilfred, and they all live in the Hornbeam Tree, next to Mr and Mrs Apple. Wilfred wants to be an intrepid explorer. He has acquired a collection of essential items that he keeps ready in an old rucksack, just in case he gets the opportunity to go on an expedition. One of Wilfred’s most exciting adventures was the time he was taken up to the High Hills. He and Mr Apple lost their way and had to spend a night on the mountain. Luckily, Wilfred had insisted on taking his trusty backpack along.
