Cranberry sauce is an iconic symbol of the midwinter festivities! It’s sweet, it’s sour, it’s colourful, and it celebrates a berry that rarely gets used in it’s own right for the rest of the year. This recipe will brighten up your table and your tastebuds!
INGREDIENTS
- 200g fresh cranberries
- 100g muscovado sugar
- Juice and zest 1 large orange
- 50ml water
- 50ml port
- 2 cloves

Method
- Put all the ingredients in to a stainless steel saucepan on a low/medium heat.
- Simmer until the cranberries break down in to a ruby red sauce. This will take about 10 minutes.
- Allow the sauce to cool and it will thicken as it does so.
